This piece is from my newest collection of florals from a still life. I love the idea of bringing permanent life to something that can be rather short lived. I wanted to use abstract mark making to enhance the unpredictability of their blooms and direction. The soft blue background is a nod to the spring sky that gives them their strength to come alive.
